PRESENTATION

 

  As part of the requirements for our final project, each HMP student had to present their project to a relevant group based on their topic. I selected my AP Seminar class as my group to present to. AP Seminar is a new course offered by Collegeboard and Chestatee is the only school in Hall County that offers this course as it is one of Collegeboard's AP Capstone Program pilot schools this school year. AP Seminar is a course that specializes in presentations, writing, and research. Since presenting, writing, and researching are a part of this project and my peers are in the class I found it appropriate to present to them as a way to relay my research but also to receive critiques in my presentation skills to better for the HMP community presentation night. However, I knew that everyone in that course was not going to be interested in marketing, media, and graphic design and what my research had to do with it in large and small organizations. Therefore, I chose to make my presentation still focused on my subject areas and my research question but I made it about self-branding and marketing themselves. We are a part of a small school like a small organization in which we have to market ourselves, our strengths, our skills, etc. to a large society like a large organization in order to compete for new and better opportunities.
